Ex-Teacher Gets Life in Prison

A Madison County jury of nine women and three men sentenced Carla Hughes to prison for the rest of her life for killing a pregnant woman.

Jurors returned the life sentence without the possibility of parole Wednesday for the 28-year-old former Jackson school teacher and mother of a 5-year-old son. The other option was the death penalty.

The same jury convicted Hughes Tuesday of two counts of capital murder in the Nov. 29, 2006, killing of Avis Banks and her unborn child.

Hughes was accused of shooting and stabbing Banks in what police said was a love triangle involving Banks' fiance.

This is to 4 real the one thing I know about our creator is he is a loving and just and most of all a forgiving God. Which is a wonderful provision I agree but now is she asking forgiveness because she's truly sorry or because she's sorry she got caught?????? In Gal.6:7,8 clearly helps us to see that "whatever a man is sowing he will also reap" in other words he does forgive sin and does shows mercy but he doesn't shield us from the punishment we bring upon ourselves when we go against his commandments. Now the only reason I'm our loving creator into all this is because she wasn't thinking no where near about all the ppl she was affecting when she did what she did so to insinuate that every1 else is somewhat being judgemental because everyone feels she got what she deserves tells me a alot about u and I have never met you.
