The employees at Riley Hospital take their pumpkin carving seriously. The 10th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest yielded some impressive entries.
Hospital officials say different departments create submissions, and it can get very competitive.
"All the departments take a break from work and decorate a pumpkin," said marketing director Elizabeth Busbee. "And it's really competitive, this is our tenth year, and as you can see, we've got lots of competition here. "
Prizes were given out for best carved pumpkin, best painted pumpkin, best pumpkin scene and best of show. The top award went to the pumpkin cut and painted to look like a giant hamburger.
