Meridian to Observe Veterans Day

There will be Veterans Day activities in Meridian Wednesday.

A traditional service is set for 10:30 a.m. at the Doughboy Monument at 23rd Avenue and 6th Street.

At 3 p.m., the annual Veterans Day Parade will be held in downtown Meridian.

The public is invited to attend both events to remember veterans.

I wanted to thank the city for the things it does for veterans. I myself am a veteran. And like most I have good times and bad during my career in the army. And i thank all for there support to the men and women seriving now. Most people dont now that alot of the service members that are overseas are just out of high school 18-25 and its hard in war time. So once again THANK YOU
