Hope Village Receives Corporate Grant

Hope Village for Children Thursday received some help for a new transitional program.

TJ Maxx awarded a $2500 grant to the home for abused and neglected children.

The 2-year transitional program will help residents who graduate high school or get their GED to remain in state care as they learn life skills, with the goal of being truly independent.

"At this time of the year, and this economy, when you have to go out and ask people to help support you, it's easy and it's comforting to know that there are people that are going to be there every single year. And TJ Maxx has done that for us," said Hope Village executive director Tina Aycock.

Aycock said TJ Maxx has donated to Hope Village for the last three years.
