For many people, Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family. However, for some, the holiday is all about the food.
That was clear Saturday when people lined up around a large trailer full of collard greens and mustard greens.
A man from Georgia said he drives down to Meridian every year to sell this enormous trailer of greens. Henry Suggs says the people of Meridian love greens and there aren't enough here to satisfy the need.
"We just do it, not to try to make no money out of it, but to see smile on their faces," said Suggs.
Another lady, who was purchasing greens, explained how she prepares one of her favorite dishes.
"I get me some fat back. I use pig tails and I season them down right. Put some hot pepper in there and they are ready to go, and maybe some corn bread muffins," said Rosie Loftin, of Meridian.
Suggs told those buying the vegetables that he plans to sell them until they run out.
