The Meridian Market was merry to say the least. It could also be described as busy. That's how one vendor, Becky Sims described it.
"Lots of traffic, yes, lots of people that have been coming by. It just seems like its going over really well, very successful," said Sims.
Many shoppers, like Andrea Sellers came for unique pieces.
"Yeah, lots of interesting things, a lot of cute, home-made stuff that you just can't find in stores.," said Sellers.
"A lot of it looks like specialty items. I haven't been all the way around yet, I want to look some more, but it looks like a lot of specialty items and things that you might just want to get especially for the holidays," described Jamie Buxton.
And the vendors didn't let the shoppers down.
"I have made all of this jewelry. I hand made it which I love to do, it's a great thing. And anybody can buy jewelry and put it out, but I make mine and I love it.," said Lisa Staton.
A lot of the vendors also agree the Market is a great business opportunity for Meridian. They say they like the idea of bringing business downtown.
"It brings business downtown and it brings people from all over the state here which I really want to have that done here because we really need some more business here to upgrade our community," exclaimed Staton.
Even shoppers like the idea of supporting the business the market brings.
"Just to have a good time, show support for local vendors, just something to do. Yeah, we need a lot more people to support local businesses just to keep them alive and to keep things going," said Sellers.
If you are judging how well the market did by the size of the crowd, vendors and shoppers would call it a success.
