The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians recently signed an agreement with Mississippi State University, to strengthen the relationship with tribal schools.
Miko Beasley Denson and MSU president Dr. Mark Keenum represented each entity.
According to a news release from the Choctaw Tribe, it wants to increase the level of cooperation with in the fields of student development, academic excellence, leadership programming and civic engagement.
Prior to signing the document at Choctaw Central High School, Denson and Keenum stressed to a group of juniors and seniors the importance of continuing their education beyond high school.
