A group of students finished the 2-year nursing program at Meridian Community College Friday.
Graduates received their associate degree nursing pins during a ceremony at McCain Theatre.
Nursing is one of the fastest-growing job fields in the U.S. Hospitals across the state are constantly reporting shortages.
"It's such a special time they can share with the family," said MCC nursing program director, Dr. Betty Davis. "Nursing school is a team effort, so we are celebrating all the folks who helped them get here."
Friday's pinning is the 61st in MCC history. Thirty-five students graduated.
