Well it seems people of Silverleaf Manor have mastered the skills of gingerbread house making. They submitted their gingerbread house into the 'anything goes competition' and were awarded first place in both creativity and construction. Two blue ribbons were awarded for their accomplishments. Those who helped build the Silverleaf Manor gingerbread house say their dreams inspired them.
"We've been working on this for about two months, almost three. carry would have a dream and come in and tell me or i would have a dream. i dreamt about a banana tree so we have a banana tree. she thought about an orange tree and we have an apple tree," says Patricia Kahrs.
The gingerbread house was placed in the winner's circle at the MSU Riley Center and was also voted as the people's choice award.
