First Baptist Church of Meridian held its Christmas musical. The sanctuary choir and orchestra presented Agnus Dei. It is work from Michael W. Smith. They gathered for their Christmas musical in hopes of spreading the Christmas story through music. The Associate Pastor of Music at First Baptist, David Bishop, explains the significance.

"This is our way to get the message of Jesus out. This is our gift to the church and the community. We just tell the Christmas story through music and scripture. They can expect a lot of music, some great solos, wonderful orchestra, and hopefully they'll hear the gospel message."

The musical had a total of fifty-five singers. It also had twenty players in the orchestra. Most of the orchestra players are graduate students from the University of Alabama and the University of Southern Mississippi.

Wow It's not "ANNUS DAY", it's Agnus Dei. Agnus Dei is a Latin term meaning Lamb of God.
