Over the Limit, Under Arrest Campaign Begins

Local law enforcement officials are getting ready to begin their yearly crackdown on drunk driving this holiday season.

Law enforcement from across the area will participate in the nationwide Over the Limit, Under Arrest campaign, starting Wednesday.

It means they'll have extra patrols, be doing roadside sobriety checkpoints, and also have undercover investigations to try to catch those driving under the influence.

Over the limit, Under Arrest will continue through the New Year's holiday weekend.

I know this is going to sound completely insane but we all need to adopt the military policy on D.U.I. levels. If you test anything above a 0.0 you are arrested for drunk driving. The standard limit is good but most people don't realize that your judgement becomes impaired at the 0.06 level.
