East Central Community College students pitched in to help feed the homeless.
ECCC's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society brought in a truck load of canned goods and non-perishables to donate to LOVE's Kitchen in Meridian.
The club started the food drive after Thanksgiving, and involved the students, faculty and staff in giving.
"We brought about twelve of our students earlier in the semester to serve lunch one day as a service project," said Phi Theta Kappa sponsor, Kate Covich. "And we got back and they said we want to do something to help. And so we decided to do the canned food drive."
LOVE's Kitchen has a need for canned goods, non-perishables, and fresh produce all through the year.
Any donations are appreciated. LOVE's Kitchen is located on 18th Avenue, between North Frontage Road and B Street.
