Authorities say a 9-year-old child died when the car in which he was riding collided with a school bus in north Mississippi.
Marshall County Coroner Richard Anderson identified the victim as Roddrick L. Isom of Holly Springs, who was pronounced dead at the scene in Tuesday's collision on Mississippi Highway 7.
Holly Springs police say five other occupants of the car were taken Memphis-area hospitals.
They were identified as 17-year-old LaTasha Isom, the victim's sister and driver; 15-year-old Gabrielle Byers, 15-year-old Keyasha Jeffries, 13-year-old R.L. Isom Jr. and 9-year-old Kirstin Byers. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Police Chief Robert Pearson says students on the bus were not hurt.
