Church Destroyed in Lauderdale

Firefighters responded to a fire at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lauderdale shortly after midnight. The church is located just off Highway 45 North on Mt. Olive Church Road.

"We're not sure what all happened or has taken place or how it happened, but we still have our joy. We still believe that God knows exactly what He's doing," said Pastor Tyrone Bolden.

Firefighters from Lauderdale, Toomsuba, Bailey and Center Ridge fire departments responded to the fire. No injuries were reported. An investigation continues into the cause.
