Murder Suspect Arrested at MCC

A man wanted for murder in another state was taken into custody on the Meridian Community College campus late Tuesday afternoon.

MCC campus police say they took 19-year old Larrian Daniels into custody as he was trying to register for spring semester at the school.

Daniels is wanted in connection with the murder of Erique Lewis in El Paso, Tex., Nov. 23. He was arrested when he came to the campus police department to get his student ID.

Campus Chief Shane Williams said El Paso officials had warned them he might try to enroll at MCC.

20-year-old Phillip Berryman has also been charged in the case. Police in El Paso say they believe the shooting was gang-related.

I Didnt Know Larrian But I Did Know Phillip. What All You "Proper" People Need To Understand That These Gangs Are Not There To Just Cause Trouble And Take Lives. They Start As A Brother-Hood; A Family. You Protect The Ones in Your Family, Right? RIP Enrique, But Lives Are Taken Everyday. Some Are Taken Way Too Soon. Like They Say, There Are Always Two Sides. There is More To The Story. Gang Related? Of Course It Is. The Blood Gang Looks After It's Members. We Look After Eachother. I Believe EPPD Needs To Do A Little More Research Themselves. Find out Who Really Shot. Makes you Think Huh? You Do Whatever It Takes to Protect Family. Even If It Means Covering For Someone Else. And To Man On The Street; Dirty Laundry Is Everywhere. Meridian Alreasy Has It. Dont Act Like El Paso Is polluting Meridian. Im Sure You Have Your Own Dirty Laundry That Needs To Be Taken Care Of. . We All Do!

I thinK that some of u are murderers in the mind because like someone sed on their comment think about it as if it wuz ur child or even you.. Do u really know if larrian tld da dude to shoot him or did the dude do it for his cause. I can understand if Larrian shot the dude, but the dude that committed the crime is more guilty. And for those who sed he was running from his problem... Ur wrong!! he has family down here!!! Sum of yall should be ashamed of yourself saying he should die. Only God knows when its time for someone to die. If it was u wuld you say u should die. (altho I dnt know yall, yall most likely would say I-as in urself should die)!!! and for the one who is talking abt gangs and thugs... they are not a disease, u cant get rid of them by killing!!! they are all over. Jes as for the ones who has bad tempers or attitudes. WULD U KILL THEM!!!?!?! if sO u wuld have to kill all human species! Al tho I haVe to say RIP to the person who was killed, think abt it they swappEd places

If i could go to the police today and tell them everything i knew, i would! Everyone here in El Paso who knew Erique and his friends know who should and shouldnt be in jail. BUT its not our place to tell since we werent physically there. But their no brained selves run around town actin' bad, say "Hell yea i did it, i did it" uhh, BINGO we have our suspect!. If your gonna be big and bad when runnin' the streets, be big in bad in jail! & Uh, i thought these were comments about the case, the way we see things, NOT to correct ones education level or grammar skills. Im sure half of us here are 16 and older so um, lets act like it. Intensive discussions, not middle school gossip! Rest In Peace my Friend(:

"I never saw HIM BUT FROM PICTURES OF HIM AND THE NEWS HE DIdnt seem very harmful." Google Ted Bundy. Educated, good looking, charming, disarming smile, typical "boy next door", etc., ...he didn't seem very harmful either. I don't know whether this man is guilty or innocent. I'm just saying that "looks" have ZERO to do with it.

Please take all your drama and crime back to El Paso. We have enough to worry about in Meridian without this kind of mess. We don't care if Larrian is guilty or innocent. We don't like the idea of someone remotely involved in a Murder to be around our children. Don't put your dirty laudry in OUR backyard.

Your ideology is so interesting to me! I find it quite interesting that I became the center of your remarks. FYI I am bi-racial but that has nothing to do with this! Furthermore, i worked two jobs to graduate from a University and graduate school with honors. So no assitance was ever given to me. I work hard for what i have and continue to have. Secondly, I admit this is becoming racial! But I refuse to comment on this anymore. I honestly wish the victim's family my heartfelt sympathy!

You know, AMEN.. to everything L.C. said. And to Anonymous out El Paso, leave College girl alone with your smart remarks. U don't know anything. The Police need to talk to a lot of people, maybe YOU are one of them. Alot of these comments are completley stupid and immature. Grow up! All of that stuff needs to stop. A lot of people getting killed over nothing. Unless somebody was right there and took every step with either one of them two, we really don't know who, why and what started all of that. So, G.Jones, sounded like YOU was right there, why don't you go to the police??? Right is right and wrong is wrong. Tell the truth. I think if somebody does wrong they need to pay for it. But if somebody is innocent they need to be free. But a lot of times they get the wrong punishment, because people who know what was going on, are scared to speak up, or dirty. What kind of world are we living in? :( God is going to deal with everybody on judgement day. Liars are the same as a murderer.

All I have to say to you Ms C is that he is in jail nothing you can do about that. I hope he gets what he deserves. Obviously he is not very smart in first place to register in his own name at college with a warrant out for him. Also how was I to know you were African American - the mention of government handouts sure seem to bother you - guess the guilty dog always barks.
