Juniors and seniors were all ears at the Lamar College Fair this week.
Recruiters came from colleges located all over the southeast to attract prospective students.
Although college tuition is on the rise, colleges are offering more scholarship opportunities and use occasions like this to spread the word.
"It seems like they are getting a little bit more aggressive in giving opportunities or showing the opportunities to our students," said guidance counselor Ronnie Key. "And it seems like there seems to be more of 'yes you can afford college' "
Key also said colleges from all over the U.S. are eager to attend events such as this to make students more aware of available scholarships and what steps are necessary to apply for them.
