Traffic was rerouted Friday morning due to a fiery accident near Toomsuba.
The collision happened just before 5 a.m.
Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol say two 18-wheelers collided in the westbound lanes at the 165 mile marker on Interstate 20.
Emergency responders say flames were present when they arrived.
For a short time, one truck driver was still inside the vehicle as flames were showing.
Two people were transported to the local hospital. The MHP said late Friday afternoon that the two drivers who were in the rear truck were both listed in critical condition. The driver of the lead truck was apparently not seriously hurt.
