The annual Junior Auxiliary Ball was held Saturday at the Northwood Country Club. Each year the Junior Auxiliary presents the Humanitarian of the Year Award. This year Ginger Stevens, the Executive Director of Meridian's Wesley House was chosen.
"I can't believe I was chosen as the Humanitarian of the Year. I first became associated with the Junior Auxiliary years and years ago when they entrusted the Christmas clearing house to the Wesley House. So we've had a long relationship over the years and I've seen what they do in the community, so I'm really honored that now they are honoring me," says Ginger Stevens.
Stevens says she is humbled and honored to be named the Humanitarian of the Year. She says she is mostly just impressed with the work of the Junior Auxiliary.
