Peavey Amp Voted Dealer's Choice

Peavey Electronics' Vypyr ™ Series modeling guitar amplifiers were voted the Amplifier Line of the Year for the second year in a row by Musical Merchandise Review magazine's Dealer's Choice Awards.

“We designed the Vypyr Series to offer the market something completely different, and our unique combination of patented analog and digital technologies gives guitar players an amazing range of tones and versatility, with highly accurate models of classic amps and effects," said Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics. "We’re honored to once again earn our dealers’ resounding approval for the Vypyr Series.”

A company news release stated Peavey Vypyr Series amplifiers feature up to 24 amp channel models, two channels of 12 popular amps for the first time anywhere plus 11 editable preamp “stomp box” effects and 11 editable post-amp “rack” effects with dual-parameter control, global reverb and global delay.

At the 2010 Winter NAMM convention, held Jan. 14-17, in Anaheim, Calif., Peavey announced the new Vypyr 30 Head, Vypyr Mini Stack and Nano Vypyr. The Nano Vypyr combines 11 amp models and up to 32 effects combinations with AC or battery power to create the ultimate grab-and-go, portable modeling guitar amplifier.

Peavey sends their own entry into MMR and other award entries as well. In my book, this means nothing.

I love how the company spoonfeeds us these squeaky clean press releases about Peavey's continuing success. It's almost like Captain Redbeard has something to prove. Where are all the press releases about the money being sent OVERSEAS to build these wonderful products or how about the here in Meridian 150 that were let go in late 2009? On with the sunshine pumping!
