It's Open!

The long awaited reopening of Meridian's main downtown gateway came very quietly Tuesday.

City officials re-opened the 22nd Avenue bridge Tuesday afternoon with very little fanfare.

Work has been ongoing on the main artery into and out of downtown for months now, as city officials did what they called much needed renovations.

The opening has been delayed several times, because of weather issues and design problems.

It does look about the same, but it's a lot smoother and, I must say, I enjoyed using it to get to South Frontage Road Tuesday night!

The reason why it look the same is because John Robert is not here to waste more of the city of Meridian's money!!!!
