United Way Day of Calling

The United Way of East Mississippi and volunteers are pushing to meet their annual fundraising goal.

The organization held its annual Day of Calling Wednesday, asking businesses and individuals who have not made a pledge yet to do so.

United Way has a goal of $800,000 for this year, and officials say they believe they will meet it, if a lot of people give just a little bit of money.

The United Way of East Mississippi supports 16 different agencies that serve this community.
