Scott County Man Charged in Meth Sting

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics says it has charged a Scott County man on drug charges after a 2-day undercover investigation.

Director Marshall Fisher said MBN and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office initially arrested 51-year-old Harry F. Vance of Lake for sale of methamphetamine to a confidential informant.

According to a news release, a consensual search of Vance’s residence turned up chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine, along with a small quantity of the drug. Agents also charged Vance with possession of two or more precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or distribute it.

When we focus our thoughts & conversations on the shortcomings of others, we are usually being deceived about our own conduct. Therefore, Jesus commanded that we not concern ourselves with the wrongs of others when we have so much wrong with ourselves (see Matthew 7:3-5). We cannot change others; only God can. We cannot change ourselves either, but we can cooperate with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to do the work. Allow God to deal with you first, and then you will be able to humbly, lovingly, and EFFECTIVELY HELP OTHERS!! "he who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone" John 8:7 I'm not just referring to this case and this man. But have you ever just stopped to pray about these people who get into this type of trouble. And for all those comments on color of skin - read John 1:45-51. Open your hearts people! Or your going to miss out on God's greatest blessings!

You people that are so obssesed with color really need to get a life. It doesn't matter what color he is...the only the you should be thinking about that this is one person black or white that will not be selling drugs to your kids....If you don't have anything more intelligent to comment about other than color.. keep you comments to yourself.

TO What?: Guy's comment must be taken in conjunction with "wondering's" comment. Guy is answering Wondering's question. Why did law enforcement not though the book at this man as they had done to others in the past. A reasonable answer to a reasonable question. Also normally there would be a slew of people calling him a thug and a lowlife if there was any hint that he wasn't white.

What does it matter what color he is? Just glad he is off the street. Too many people are obsessed with color these days! Geez! When people are arrested for crack, no one say "I bet they are black as ____!"
