Fourth grade students at Southeast Lauderdale Elementary School talked weather with chief forecaster Stephen Bowers.
Stephen focused on severe weather safety and preparedness.
He also answered their questions about why Hurricane Katrina caused so much damage. He said it's because of where it struck, rather than merely the force of the storm.
Stephen also explained what radar tells him about the weather.
