A Lauderdale County jury has begun listening to arguments in a Gulf Coast murder trial.
The jury for the trial of Terry Hye, Jr., was picked Monday in Meridian, then taken to Pascagoula for the trial. The jury is sequestered.
Pretrial publicity was an issue because the triggerman, Darwin Wells, Jr., has already been tried and convicted in Jackson County.
Hye is accused of taking part in the 2008 murder of Michael David Porter, who had stopped in Moss Point last year to get directions.
Porter's wife, who was at the scene when he was killed, testified Tuesday.
