MPD Reports Teenager Missing

Meridian police juvenile detectives are seeking information about missing teenager Jeremiah Devontae Murray.

The 16-year-old Murray is African-American, about 5'7" tall and weighs 145 pounds. He had close-cut hair and brown eyes.

Murray was last seen at Meridian High School Mar. 8, leaving campus during class hours. He was wearing khaki pants, a blue shirt, and BK shoes.

Anyone with information on Murray's whereabouts is asked to contact the Meridian Police Department at 601-485-1893 or Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

    What would help out the most is any birth marks, scars, and/or any other marks not natural to the general population. Ones that, of course, are not able to be seen easily, or at all, in the photograph.

    I don't see what's so hard about it. I looked at the clear photo. You can easily see his skin color and what he looks like. Sheesh! The dumbing down of America.

    I get that the young man's race is part of his description, but are you saying the picture doesn't give you enough information about what this young man looks like? I mean, you have his face, how tall he is, what he was last known to be wearing. Who needs to tell his race, if we have the picture to look at?

    What color is his skin. This would narrow the search down considerably.
