Investigators are looking into a series of car break-ins that happened overnight.
Officials with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department say seven car burglaries were reported from Wednesday night and early Thursday.
All of them happened in the area around Old Eighth Street Road.
Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun said everyone should make sure they keep their car doors locked at all times.
"Many times homeowners get home from work and they will feel safe. And they go in and they will leave things out for convenience," said Calhoun. "That's just what these types of individuals that do this type of crime are looking for."
This is the second time in a month Lauderdale County officials have had such a series of car burglaries.
Two people were arrested in a similar situation in February.
