Nationally Known Beauty Queen

Young girls ages zero to twelve competed Saturday in a major competition.

The Tiny Miss America Pageant is going on right now in Meridian at the Northeast Inn and Conference Center. The girls will compete in areas of beauty and sportswear for the title. There are 30 girls competing today. 39 competed yesterday in the Natural Pageant.

One of those little girls competing today in Tiny Miss America is a nationally known pageant queen. 4-year-old Eden Wood has been featured on the TLC series, "Toddlers and Tiaras'. Her mother, Mickey Null, describes how Wood was chosen for the television series.

"They picked her, saw a picture, and actually contacted us. We did our first episode last July. She was the season premiere and then we were the first little girl to be asked to be followed twice. We finished this second season up as the season finale about three weeks ago." says Null.

Wood had a book signing Saturday before the pageant for her book, 'From Cradle to Crown'. Believe it or not, she even has a doll made in her image.

Here is a look at the top winners of the pageant. Ramsi Kittrell won Mini Queen for the 0 to 5 age group. Kenzie Thomas took the title of Mini Queen for the 6 and up. And Eden Wood was named Supreme Queen of the Tiny Miss America Pageant. She had the highest score of the entire pageant.

It doesn't matter what you feel about pageants but I think in the show when she lost the bed it was wonderful. She is a rotten brat that seems to be pushed by her mother. I HATED when she made fun of one of the girls (Macknzie?) with fake lips to make fun of the other girls smile. That was the rudest thing I have ever seen. Her mother is being a typical stage Mom and she is ugly and disgusting and rude as ___ and I think she is living precariously through her daugter.

CRYSTAL ROY: It is perfectly OK to make a comment about these trashy little pageants, and I obviously feel the same way you do about these little brats with equally obnoxious mothers. However, please watch your spelling----the word in the last sentence of your post is "precariously", which is spelled correctly. Unfortunately, it is the wrong word to use---the word should be "vicariously"----and that is exactly what the mother is doing!

ok let me get this straight.... shes 4 years old and has written a book? I DOUBT IT! Im not against beauty pageants. im against mothers forcing their children to do them. This book deal im sure is just a way for the mother to make a profit off of her child.

When a child is all dressed up for a kiddie beauty pageant, they look tiny little _____ or _____. I don't see any beauty in it. I say, let the children be children. Remember Jon Bennet Ramsey. She was a cute little girl without all that makeup and Las Vegas style costumes. Look what happened to her.

My daughter competed in the natural pageant on Friday night as did Eden. What your story failed to metion was that as parents we were told the natural pageant should be just that "natural", little girls looking like little girls, no make up and no glitzy pageant dresses, but low and behold, cetain girls had on more make up than most of the mothers there and I'll give you 1 guess as to which ones won overall; it wasn't the "natural little girls"

Laura, you hit the nails on their heads. Well said! Rachel Alig, if you wrote this article, you need to take a couple more English classes. Your punctuation and word choice are horrible.
