Mississippi Law Bans Toy -Like Lighters

Cigarette lighters that look like toys will be banned under a Mississippi bill that becomes law July 1.

The law takes effect July 1 and prohibits the sale of novelty lighters.

Supporters of the bill say the devices endanger children's safety.

The lighters can look like anything from toy frogs to tiny guitars. Many are sized to fit comfortably into toddlers' hands.

Who are these law makers? Are they elected or appointed by someone or are their names in a big hat that gets drawn out when one of the older one retire. It seems like a pretty cushy job I’d like to interview for. I am tired of having to do real work and get nowhere for my efforts. Besides I’m sure I’ll do a lot better than them I'll at least use common sense.

do our law makers have to much time on their hands? well if they are looking for something creative to do. Why can they not pass bills for gay rights in mississippi? Something to help with gay rights in mississippi. Where maybe we can be on one another's insurance, file on one another's tax's. Why can they not do thing like that instead of lighter bills?

Our legislature really has nothing to do. How about passing laws that will bring more industry to our state!! How about passing laws that will keep criminals behind bars!!
