Former MDOT Employees Plead Guilty

State Auditor Stacey Pickering says the six were all former employees of the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

Dennis Keith Pierce, James D, Malone and Joseph C. Gallagher each pleaded guilty to conspiracy for allegedly receiving payments for false invoices submitted to MDOT. Each was sentenced to five years of supervised probation.

Gene Edward Taylor pleaded guilty to making false entries in public records and was sentenced to five years of supervised probation.

Clarence Shelton pleaded guilty to embezzlement and conspiracy and was sentenced to two years of house arrest and eight years of supervised probation.

Ivory Luckett pleaded guilty to conspiracy and was sentenced to one year of supervised probation.
