Attorneys general from thirteen states are suing the federal government to stop the massive health care overhaul, claiming it's unconstitutional.

The lawsuit was filed seven minutes after President Barack Obama signed the overhaul bill Tuesday.

It names the U.S. departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury and Labor.

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is taking the lead in the lawsuit. Lo

Attorneys general from South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Utah, Pennsylvania, Alabama, South Dakota, Louisiana, Idaho, Washington and Colorado are joining the suit. They are all Republicans, except for Louisiana's AG, Buddy Caldwell, who is a Democrat. The governors of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Washington are Democrats.

Other states may join the lawsuit later or sue separately. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Pensacola.

The changes ( not good changes ) will be knocking at your door and everyone you know. Open your eyes ,come out of your shell.

(more) Health Reform was never about health care. It was about buying Democratic votes in the next election from illegal immigrants, who will be voter eligible. I'm going to live another 38 years, just out of spite. I want to be here in 10 years, when there has not been a nickel saved, much less $138 billion. I want to be here, just to say, "I told you so" when this piece of crap collapses under its own weight, when people are standing in line for hours to see a doctor and when mortality rates go up, like they have in other countries that have adopted this heresy. That's the Obama Legacy. Right under his picture should be a note that says, "I destroyed the best health care system in the world." With my best wishes for your optimum health, Dr. Bill

Laura, you sound so much like an elitist like Pelosi or the DC bunch of crooks. I don't see what you think you will gain, unless you are part of the staff that were excluded from this boondoggle. I am NOT a redneck but if I were, I'd be a FREE AMERICAN PATRIOT redneck! Our private hospitals are going to be a thing of the past; they will be run like a VA. Just look at the Matty Hersee. We're military; when I had my surgery I had a room with 7 other beds with one bathroom! (very private, right?) The government can't run the Post Office well, and nobody's health is at stake there. The Veteran's Hospitals are among the worst in the country. If you really want a look at government healthcare, go take a look at how they're run. That is how your hospital will run in the future. We can only hope that this horrible bill can be repealed, or declared unconstitutional. And by the way, in the immigration bill being designed at this moment. 12 million more people will be added to the numbers.

RUTH and BRIDE2BE: I am with you two; The thirteen states that have filed suit against the federal government are wasting our (the taxpayers) money by filing suit in the first place, and there is not a chance that the state judicial system would overcome the federal judicial system. The rest of you all that have come up with posts that are totally hair-brained and redneck are exactly what I would have expected to see on this page. If I were you, I would disband the Tea Party. You are doing nothing but making fools of yourselves---just like Sarah Palin.

You ALL are so totally off the wall with your comments, and sound like the rednecks you are. The health care plan may have its faults, but how else are you people going to afford health care? And as far as the state of Mississippi suing the feds like the thirteen other states have, those states don't have a legal leg to stand on---if you don't think that the federal judicial branch can trump the state judicial branches, you are crazier than I thought you were. Live in the real world, people.

Do you know who ObamaIamafraud really is? Does Obama represent our nation or SEIU? Perhaps this explains Obama's close ties with the Purple shirt thugs. Highlights of a 2007 speech to SEIU members. (this is meant as cynicism: ......ObamaIamafraud will pay my gas, my mortgage my healtcare!!! All I gots to do is bow my massa Obamaiamfroaud and not think for myself or have initiative !!! Just stay home pop those babies out with many baby daddies !!!! I LOVE AMERICA !!!!). I have researched his lies & broken promises. When I put them all together I will list them here if this comment board is still here when I finish.
