Meridian's annual Jimmie Rodgers Festival will kick off the first in a series of events next week.
The Jimmie Rodgers foundation will hold three events over the next two weeks, starting Apr. 1.
The first is a 7 p.m. concert by Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver at the Temple Theater.
"Proceeds will go to the Jimmie Rodgers Museum, which is visited by people all over the world," said Greg Hatcher of the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation.
