Local Woman Sees Something Special in Cake

A local woman was baking a cake to help her friends' sweet tooth, when she got much more than just a dessert.

Lois Huffmaster baked a cross cake Saturday. She had intentions of bringing it to church Sunday.

But once the cake cooled, she says she saw an image of Jesus on it.

"I didn't know what to think when I first glanced at it. Chills just went up my spine. And when I took the second look I almost went into tears," said Huffmaster. "My eyes got real misty and I thought, 'Gee, you know, He did this for me. He did this for me and everybody else."

Huffmaster said she plans to freeze the cake so she can keep it.

I don't know if she would want to sell it or not. I'm just saying there was ounce a guy who sold a chip that had virgin mary on it and got thousands. That would buy a lot of cake mix or print a lot of bibles or whatever.

this is a sign for her. why would she want 2 sell it. it goes 2 show that the good lord jesus is watching over her. maybe a sign of something she has been praying for. lois is a very special lady. mother of 2, step-mother of 5 more. never do u hear her complain. always tries 2 put others first. she is a god-send for my family and i. love my hugh family. the lord blessed us with a large family, then blessed us again after the death of my mother. the lord sent lois 2 my father. it seems very normal with the 2 families blended, but feels like one real family. as if the two families were meant 2 be together. my mother before she passed-like this lady named lois. i do believe that my mother picked her out for us. the fit is that normal. love u lois, thanks for all u do for all your children, family, and church family. u are a blessing 2 me and my family, and a blessing 2 hawkins united methodist church of meridian. thank u, shelly huffmaster messer
