Teen Charged with Making Threats

Police say a local teenager has been charged him with sending threatening e-mails to students at Meridian High School.

Police say 17-year old Ronnie Earl Alexander used his Facebook account to threaten people.

Police say Alexander threatened students, faculty and staff that they would be shot, stabbed or hurt, unless they stayed away from the campus Monday.

Alexander is charged with the felony crime of cyberstalking, e-mail threats or harassment.

What education? My observing the spelling in most of these comments, these kids aren't getting an education.

I noticed there are a lot of comments by students, for this article. I also noticed most of them must have skipped English, Grammar and Spelling classes. How can one be taken seriously, when the comments barely legible?

I don't condone what this young man wrote. BUT I do know bullying goes on in schools. No, teachers and administrators can't control everything. But I have witnessed personally teachers and administrators who are clueless as to what's right in front of them and leaving the classroom unattended. That just makes it easy for the bullies. And for this young man to be labeled 'weird' just because he was quiet?! Ridiculous!

we students at the high school are shocked that this would happen but we knew it was gone happen sooner or later becuase of the bullying we go to the princpal for help but they dont help they just push u away from the office as well as the counselers the teachers could care less about u fighting that why we wasnt shocked about this incident because if we had better supervision it wouldnt be like this

well i think as an mhs student that students should not bully and hurt people feelings i see that happen every day when i attend school when the school bored apponted uniforms i thought it would help the bullying stop but it makes it worser to me if we students could stop putting people down mhs would be a good school

I think that parents need to do policing of their kids to prevent these incicedents of violence or acts of aggression. That means keeping tab on their friends as well as their phone and internet usage. There is no way a parent can be with a ny child 24hrs a day and we all know that things change when parents are not present.

i dont think what he did was right but i also think mhs should do sumin about the children picking on others. many of the students at mhs get picked on for not being in normal classes, the way they dress and the way they look the same things have probably went through their head but weren't brave enough to do it. i am a student at mhs but im not a victim of anything. i just dont think its right. i have seen this young man around school and he dosen's bother anyone.

Hey Genee, now this kid is the victim? I noticed the african moniker you threw into this to suggest that its all about race for this poor victim. Want to bet that this kid couldn't point to Africa on a globe....hint, he is an AMERICAN kid. Stop with your stupid monikers designed to deceive and divide the country into believing blacks are incapable of getting ahead without the constant race card BS!

WHAT DOES HIM BEING AFRICAN AMERICAN HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING??? PRETTY MUCH ALL OF MHS ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN BUT THEY ARE NOT ALL THREATNING TO STABB OTHER TEENAGERS AND BRING A KNIFE TO SCHOOL TO DO IT WITH.... IT IS SAD THAT HE WAS TEASED BUT HE IS VERY MUCH IN THE WRONG FOR WHAT HE DID AND IF HE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN STOPPED AND ENDED UP HURTING OR KILLING SOMEONES ELSES CHILD THEN WHAT EXCUSES WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN??? I WAS TEASED ALL THROUGH SCHOOL AND DIDNT HAVE MANY FRIENDS AND I NEVER NEVER IN MY LIFE WENT TO THESE EXTREMES.
