Wesley House Helping Fire Victims

Agencies across the community are stepping up to help the victims of a fire at Village Apartments in Meridian.

Seven families lost their homes because of the fire. The tragedy has created a lot of need within the area.

Along with the Red Cross and Multi-County Community Service Agency, the Wesley House Community Center is helping fill the needs created during the fire.

"We are providing them with clothing, free food for their families. We just filled one for a family of seven that should last them for two to three weeks," said Ginger Stevens. "As items are received from the community, they are saved for a time like this."

The Wesley House takes referrals from the Red Cross and MCCSA.

Why did Wesley House Community Center wait so late in helping? Multi County and the Red Cross where on the scene first. Why wasn't Wesley House? Just curious.

We don't have the sizes of the people involved. The best thing would be to contact Wesley House. They may have the sizes, and you could also let them know what you have available.
