Hood: "Barbour Can Join Health Lawsuit"

Mississippi's Democratic attorney general said Friday he won't try to stop the Republican governor from joining a multi-state lawsuit challenging a federal health care overhaul.

Gov. Haley Barbour says he intends to join the lawsuit when the lead state, Florida, amends its original court filing. It's not clear when that might happen.

In late March, Barbour asked Hood to sue on behalf of Mississippi. Hood originally said the governor needed the attorney general's permission to file suit. Hood gave that clearance that Friday.

Meanwhile Friday, Republican Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant, acting as a private citizen, joined a separate lawsuit challenging the federal health law. That suit was filed by a state senator in federal court in Hattiesburg.

People do not come to America for Health Care. They come to gain power, control, and freedom.I dont understand what all the fuss is about health care. We have to have car and house insurance. If Halye Barbour want to really do something, he should find a way to stop all these people living off the government. That's where all the money is going. People having babies with no job. Find a way to stop that issue. Health Care is our least problem! If they fight to take away the Health Care Bill then we should not be forced to pay car or house insurance!!

What are you smoking? Not like anyone cares here? Waste our tax payer money? Get with reality, things may not be right with the medical/insurance industry, but I darn sure don't want the government being in control. Get a clue. Why do people from canada, europe, etc come HERE for health care options???

I say if the Govenor does not win this law suit, he pays all the expences out of his own pocket. Lets not waste the tax payers money on a law suit tha has absolutely no chance in winning. If he doesnt want to pay for it if he looses (which he will) I say dont let him do it.

Now Gov. Barbour can wave his flag and jockey for position within the Republican party. Not like this lawsuit is something all Mississipians want. The party of NO is on the move here in Mississippi.

Well you can't blame them for trying. The US has the best health care system in the world right now why would you want to mess that up? People from the nations with this kind of standardised health plan come here all the time for better care.
