Two people injured by gunfire Sunday afternoon in Meridian were reported in stable condition Monday.
The shooting happened around 2:41 p.m. in the 3200 block of 20th Street.
The two men were shot as they sat in a vehicle, which was also struck several times
Police say one shooting victim was struck in the upper shoulder and neck, the other in the lowed leg.
The MPD says the investigation also revealed that other victims in the area suffered property due to stray gunfire. Officials say detectives are still interviewing possible witnesses, processing evidence and following up on suspect leads.
Police say this shooting was not connected in any way to a shooting incident Apr. 4 at Highland Park.
No arrests have been made in the Apr. 11 shooting.
