A Carthage man was killed after an accident while he was mowing grass on his Mississippi Highway 35 property.
Leake County Coroner Randolph Scott told WLIN-FM that 78-year-old Billy Minshew suffered massive trauma to his chest Tuesday and later died after being airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Scott says Minshew was using a zero-turn riding mower to cut around a goose-neck cattle or horse trailer and knocked the trailer off of its blocks, crushing him.
