The Mississippi Public Service Commission has fined two Florida telemarketers a total of $90,000 for violating the Mississippi No-Call law.

Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley says Ski Group LLC, of Plantation, Fla., and Higher Response Marketing Inc., of St. Petersburg, Fla., were cited for failing to register and purchase the state's "No-Call" list and for contacting consumers that had registered on the list.

Presley said the companies did not respond to the commission's complaint.

Presley says both companies are prohibited from making any calls to Mississippians as a telephone solicitor and from purchasing the "No-Call" list until the civil penalties are paid in full.
