The Mississippi Supreme Court has set arguments for June 14 in an appeal of a Jackson teenager convicted of murder in the death of a pizza delivery man.
A Hinds County jury in 2006 convicted Demarious Banyard of capital murder in the shooting death of Robin Ballard. Prosecutors said Ballard was shot in the neck on Feb. 24, 2003, during an attempted robbery.
Banyard was 13 at the time of the shooting. He was sentenced to life without parole.
The State Court of Appeals upheld Banyard's conviction last year.
