A major road in Meridian will be closed for the next several months.
The 29th Avenue bridge over Sowashee Creek closed Monday, so it can be replaced.
That work is expected to take about three to four months to complete.
It will cost about a million dollars, and is being paid for primarily with federal stimulus funds.
The closing comes at the same time another major road through road, the 26th Avenue 'subway', is also closed for repairs.
