The Key Brothers Diamond Anniversary Air Show was not as successful as coordinators had hoped.
Those involved with organizing the event say they are unsure if it was the heat, ticket prices, or other scheduled events that prevented the stands from filling up.
"We were just a little disappointed in the crowd," said Burt Zeller, air show coordinator. "We were way below where we thought we would be. We probably had about 2-3,000 people a day. We needed about 10,000 a day. Don't know what happened. To have such a fine air show as we did, all the people that put this on, our committee. We're just a little upset. "
Zeller went on to add that he is still extremely thankful for the volunteers, pilots, and sponsors that helped make the air show possible.
