According to a report by WLBT-TV Tuesday, it's possible that a faulty steering cable could have played a role in a deadly boating collision at Ross Barnett Reservoir Sunday.
The station also reports that Brad Hardy of Kemper County, the driver of the boat, was below the legal alcohol limit when the crash happened.
Two men died when the boat veered into boats that were moored to the bank.
One of those killed was Brad's father, Mike Hardy.
A spokesman for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks had said that Brad Hardy might face charges. This new information could clear his name.
