A business is celebrating its grand opening. Fabric and furniture maker, Premier Fabrics, cut a ceremonial ribbon Tuesday in Meridian.
Company president Zeke Hodges says all the fabrics are printed in Mississippi, and a lot of them are also woven in the United States.
Hodges says Meridian is the largest of the company's four locations.
"We're a couple of hours, two and a half hours away. We like the size of the town. We like what's around the town," said Hodges. "And we can service it from our plant, get the fabrics here in timely fashion, and the furniture. It's all made in Sherman, Miss., so we can service it. And we just thought it would be a great place for a store."
Premier Fabrics has stores in Jackson, Memphis and Sherman, Miss., which is also home to its plant.
