The White House confirms that Vice-President Joe Biden will travel to the Gulf Coast Tuesday to review the efforts to combat the massive oil spill.
Biden will visit the National Incident Command Center in New Orleans, and will also visit the Florida panhandle.
The White House is eager to show an hands-on sense of command over a disaster that has rocked the Gulf Coast and reshaped Barack Obama's presidency.
