A local ministry and church provided dinner Friday night for a group of volunteers spending a week in Meridian.

LFW Ministries partnered with members of Agape Storehouse Fellowship Church to feed volunteers with World Changers.

This is the first time for a dinner of this type. Church members say it was an opportunity they did not want to miss.

"We saw an opportunity. We heard they were bringing in young people so we just thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to allow our young people to see them be a blessing to the community," says Linda Willis with LFW Ministries.

There are 229 volunteers in Meridian from World Changers. The church feed about 25 of the college-aged volunteers. Penn's Fish House donated the food for the dinner.

That was a beautiful and Godly thing to do. Since it has been said that they won't be returning next year it would be a great idea for all the local churches to pull together and forget about their "religion" and support the communities of Lauderdale County in full force. Their is strength in numbers. Why is it that people come from out of town to do what the people in town should be doing? Many blessings to the Agape Storehouse members their Spiritual Leader. We need more people like you.
