Bottom line is they dont care about the guards or the inmates housed there. But i can say what happend yes was bad, but all prisoners are not bad ppl some yes. However with laws presley vs epps which took place at Parchman The administration breaks justs as many laws as the prisoners it houses from this single incident prisoners have been on lock down unable to shower in 2 men cell which with a mental facility is not suppose to occur being confined to a two man cell. The prisoners have only had cheese sandwiches to eat 3 times a day. Yhea they broke the law but still are human and you cant punish all for the ignorance and complete nonregard for life one had.

I myself like David here. Have also worked corrections. I worked in a supermax in the State of Florida for 10 yrs. And know all to well. It's something you have to watch out for. And when it happens and sooner or later it will happen you have to be ready. But also at the same time. The private prison system is not so much worried about the officer saftey or the inmate saftey as they are worried about the bottom dollar. When i first moved here from florida. I went to look at the place and see about getting a job there. And found it to be a total joke 9 years ago and it still is I see.

@green, EMCF is a prison for mentally ill inmates. It is going to happen no matter who the "boss" is. It happens at prisons all over the world. It is inevitable like death and taxes. Sure there are measures that can be taken to reduce the risk, but it will still happen. I worked in corrections for 9 years at 2 different prison (the first one being EMCF). Assault is just one of the things you have to be prepared for as an officer.

It's not the bosses, rather, it's the inmates. The MDOC is closing Unit 32 which housed the "baddest of teh bad" and sending them here. EMCF was never intended to house the likes of who they have now. Most new officers come in and find out what they have to go through, and then quit. I would not work there as an officer due to the danager in that particular line of work.

this company has a lot of troubles from loosing paper work so C.O.'s are not paid to lack of control of the inmates ... due to cutting the staff too short

Sounds like the inmate responsible might need that ___ beat. In front of the other inmates.

this cannot keep happening at this facility.this company needs very badly to change its boss s before an officer gets killed.
