While speaking with reporters after his speech at the fair, Barbour said he's focused on getting Republicans elected during the 2010 elections, and he's not concentrating on his personal plans.
"2010 is the election that matters. And anything that distracts from that is harmful to the country and the Republican Party," said Barbour. "After Nov. 2, I'll sit down and see if there is anything to think about. But I'm not going to until then."
Barbour serves as the chairman of the Republican Governors Association. His second and final term as governor runs through 2011.
