A member of the community was embraced Sunday into his new role with a welcoming party and concert.

A 'Coming Out' Concert was held at 5 Sunday evening at Meridian's Boys and Girls Club. It was a time to introduce Elder Erick McClelland. He will be the new music minster of True Worship Music Ministry.

He says he is honored to fulfill this position and take on new challenges.

"It means a lot. The name, 'True Worship', it means a lifestyle of worship. I love this position. It means worship for God," exclaims McClelland.
The job of music minister will consist of various responsibilities. McClelland has specific goals in mind for the future, including involvement in the city of Meridian.

"Well what I want to do at True Worship is a lot of things in the city of Meridian, as in ministry, as in praise and worship, concerts, workshops. Anything concerning True Worship as music ministry we can help anything."

The concert featured gospel music in order to praise and worship. Several local churches also participated in the concert. One of those churches was Meridian's Greater Calvary Baptist Church.
