Absentee Voting Concerns

The numbers in, and so far Mississippians have cast 26,433 absentee ballots for the general election, which Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says is higher than usual, raising concerns about voter fraud.

"When I saw somebody witnessing thirty or forty or eighty absentee ballots I started to question what was going on there," says Hosemann.

To help combat fraud Hosemann introduced legislation last year to limit the number of absentee ballots a person can witness to ten, but his proposal died in a House committee.

"I think Mississippians are starting early voting whether the legislature has or not, and I think that needs to be something the legislature needs to review."

If you have a legal reason you can vote absentee Saturday at your circuit clerk's office until noon, polls are open on Tuesday from 7 AM to 7 PM.

I sure would hate to come face-to-face with any of those "ghosts" who voted in those previous elections, especially the 2008 that I witnessed personally. And, glad that initiative is on the ballot. Of course I voted absentee already & voted YES. The running joke was how often did I get to vote... :)

You witnessed ghosts voting? Dude, you need to see a professional. Maybe then you'll realize that virtually no voter fraud will be stopped by voter id.

All I need is your name and the place you vote and I could vote there before you in your name everytime.

Do you think of braking laws frequently? You may say no, but the proof seems to be in the pudding.
