Philadelphia, Miss. Officials with a business planning to open in east Mississippi say they have postponed an open house for the second time.
AlphaGen was supposed to hold an open house Saturday, June 22, at its new site in Philadelphia, the former U.S. Motors building.
Company officials said Wednesday they have delayed that open house until all the newly elected officials in the city of Philadelphia have been officially sworn into office. That won't be until next month.
Philadelphia's mayor was re-elected to a second term. But there will be almost a completely new board of aldermen.
AlphaGen initially had planned to host the open house May 25, but then decided to wait until after the municipal elections.
